"We had a wonderful visit to Yellowknife. Highlights included Andrea's extremely comfortable B&B and her great suggestions on things to do, kicksledding, the Heritage Center, dinner at Bullocks as well as Fishy People, and seeing our first Aurora with Joe from North Star Adventures with wind chills of -42°C. But most amazing was seeing the Aurora off the dock on our last night in Yellowknife. A magnificent and never ending display! We will return in warmer weather!"

"Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Communication with the host was excellent and they were very accommodating with our request for an early luggage drop off and a ride to the airport at the end of our stay. Everything we needed was within walking distance. We were glad we could take the car rental option as it was significantly cheaper than the car rentals. That made all the difference with the things we could do. We stayed during the hottest part of the season and they were very quick to...

"I liked how fast i got to my room. Disliked how my $74 bottle of wine and $34 cheese platter was presented when i got to the room. A bucket of ice with the bottle in it would had been nice and not having the glasses and bottle in the fridge. Didn't even know the glasses were in the fridge until we were done the wine. Pastic covering for the cheese and fruit plate. Just made it look cheap which it wasn't "

If you are tired of vacations in loud and busy urban environments, you'll be able to find an immense amount of peace, solitude, and splendor during a stay at one of the hotels in Northwest Territories.

One of the most special areas of the Northwest Territories is the Nahanni National Park Reserve. You can find some of the best whitewater rafting and kayaking conditions in North America here, but be advised that the spectacular South Nahanni River is located in a remote area that requires that visitors fly in by small plane. The type of wildlife that those enjoying Northwest Territories hotel packages include trumpeter swans, grizzly bears, mountain goats, caribou, black bears, and wolves. The top time for viewing grizzly bears is during the early autumn when wild salmon begin to enter the river to spawn.

Vacationers taking advantage of cheap car rentals in the Northwest Territories should not expect bright lights or urban nightlife. Instead of neon signs and other flashing artificial lights, the sky might be lit up by the aurora borealis. The best time to see the Northern Lights from your rooms is during the fall and winter. If you are interested in finding good places to eat and drink, you can visit establishments in Yellowknife, which is the capital city of the Northwest Territories.

Yellowknife is a surprisingly modern city for one with such a remote location. Located on the shore of Great Slave Lake, you can enjoy water sports without traveling to one of the nearby wilderness areas. If you love learning about indigenous cultures, Yellowknife has a variety of museums, art galleries, and cultural events that feature First Nations art, music, stories, and song.

Although most of the visitors to the Yukon Territories choose to enjoy this unique region during the short summer, adventurous travelers frequently get a cheap Northwest Territories hotel deal during the winter so that they can experience the ethereal ambiance featured by the north country during the dark season. Whatever season your decide to look for a discount on hotels in the Northwest Territories, you will never forget your sojourn in this special part of the planet.
